Bo the bear is a sweet, small bear, measuring a full 7 centimeters. He is originally knitted with one strand of Lun merino from Rauma garn. This is a lovely, carded merino wool yarn that is perfect for knitting teddy bears. The yarn is slightly fluffy, and the stitch definition is so beautiful! The bear is knitted in the round from head to toe, and you can choose whether to knit with magic loop or double-pointed needles.
If you wish to knit the bear, the mattress, or the blanket in a different yarn quality, you can certainly do so. Feel free to choose a yarn of approximately the same thickness, and experiment. The most important thing is that the stitch definition of the bear is tight enough so that the stuffing is not visible through it :)
What you need to knit Bo:
Yarn: 6 grams Lun merino from Rauma Garn
Needles: Long circular needle/double-pointed needles 2.5 mm
+ a little embroidery floss/thin yarn for eyes and nose and some stuffing for the bear
What you need to knit the Mattress:
Yarn: 20 grams Double Sunday from Sandnes Garn
Needles: Long circular needle + double-pointed needles 3 mm
What you need to knit the blanket:
Yarn: 10 grams Sunday from Sandnes Garn
Needles: Long circular needle + double-pointed needles 2.5 mm
