#løvenlussi is knitted on a long circular needle size 3. You start by shaping the head and mane before shaping the body with raglan increases. The arms, legs, ears and tail are knitted last.
The knitting tension varies depending on which yarn you choose to knit with. The original yarn is double strand Sunday from Sandnes Garn, but you can choose double strand of other yarn types with knitting tension 28/10. It is also possible to knit the lion in single strand SG Double Sunday, SG merino, SG kos… Choose what you have of leftover yarn! If you knit with Air or Kos, you may experience that the knitting tension will be slightly different in height. Also note that the number of grams you need may vary slightly depending on which yarn quality you knit with.
I recommend knitting with the "Magic Loop" technique as the pattern is adapted for this purpose.
Yarn suggestions:
approx. 40 g Sunday from Sandnes Garn
Equipment:
Long circular needle 3
Circular needles size 3.5 (for the withers)
