Jonas and Evert Squirrel - Norwegian recipe

Say hello to the squirrels Jonas and Evert, a pair of cute teddy bears that come in two sizes; small and large. The squirrels are knitted from head to paws, and the entire project is knitted using the magic loop technique (I recommend learning the technique via Youtube if you are unsure).

Evert is the world's most diligent and kindest squirrel. He is almost 100 years old, at least, and he never says no when someone asks for help. Evert is the forest's caretaker, he knows absolutely everything, and works around the clock with a big smile. Jonas is just as hardworking as his dad, and when Jonas and Evert work together – the most incredible things happen in the forest. Although they don't admit it often, they love a good teddy bear hug.

The teddy bears are knitted with a single strand of POP merino from Hip Knit Shop on 3mm needles. This makes the teddy bear both firm and soft.

These two teddy bears are designed in collaboration with the Sommerblå children's and family festival.
